PRP (Platelet-Rich plasma)

What Are PRP Injections?
Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections is a treatment that uses your own blood to help repair and rejuvenate several areas of your body including your skin, hair and even your joints. PRP is rich in platelets, which contain powerful growth factors that promote healing and stimulate the production of new cells.

The process is simple:

  1. Blood Draw: We take a small sample of your blood.
  2. PRP Preparation: The blood is then placed in a machine that separates the platelets from other components.
  3. Injection or microneedle: The concentrated platelets (PRP) are carefully injected or micro-needled into the areas where you need rejuvenation, such as your face or scalp.
  • Facial Rejuvenation: PRP can reduce fine lines, improve skin texture, and boost collagen production, helping your skin look smoother and more youthful.
    • We can also combine PRP with microneedling for added benefits of PRP and microneedling
  • Hair Restoration: PRP has been used to treat hair thinning by stimulating the hair follicles to promote hair growth.
    • Under eye dark circles and Hollows correction
    • Neck rejuvenation
    • Minimal risk: Because PRP comes from your own blood, there’s no risk of allergic reactions, and the treatment harnesses your body’s natural healing power.
PRP injections are minimally invasive and typically involve little downtime. You may experience mild swelling or bruising at the injection site, but these side effects usually resolve quickly. For the best results, multiple treatments are recommended, depending on your individual needs.

The effects of PRP treatment can take some time to become visible because it works by stimulating your body’s natural healing processes.

    • For Skin Rejuvenation: You may start to notice subtle improvements in skin texture and tone within 2-3 weeks after treatment, but optimal results typically appear after 3-6 months as your skin continues to produce more collagen.
    • For Hair Restoration: Hair growth is a slower process. Initial improvements may be seen within 3-4 months, but the best results generally occur after several months of treatment, as the hair follicles need time to regenerate and grow.

In both cases, multiple treatment sessions spaced several weeks apart are often recommended to achieve and maintain the best results.

Most patients tolerate the pain. We have numbing cream used for face and scalp treatments. We can also use injected pain-relief onto the scalp if patients require.

    • Sexual Enhancement
    • Women’s sexual health is often underrepresented and rarely discussed openly. A common challenge some women face is difficulty achieving a clitoral orgasm, even with sexual stimulation. This can be influenced by factors such as age, medical or gynecological conditions, or the effects of certain medications. However, the intensity of orgasms can vary, with some women needing more stimulation than others.

      Benefits:

      • Enhanced arousal through clitoral stimulation
      • Improves natural lubrication
      • Activates stem cells in vaginal tissue for regeneration and rejuvenation
      • A safe and effective solution for urinary incontinence
      • Leads to an overall increase in sexual satisfaction
      • Increased sensitivity leading to greater pleasure and responsiveness during sexual stimulation
      • Increased libido: improving women’s sexual desire
      • Reduced Pain During Intercourse: For women who experience discomfort or pain during sex, PRP may help alleviate these symptoms, making intimacy more enjoyable

Does the procedure make the vagina tighter?

PRP itself does not specifically focus on making the vaginal region tighter. However women have reported feeling of vaginal tightness improvement.

What is the recovery with PRP vaginal injections?

There are no restrictions on your activity after the PRP injection, this includes resuming intimate relations the same day.

      Is this procedure safe?

This procedure is considered safe because it uses PRP derived from your own blood, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions or complications. However, as with any medical procedure, there can be very minor risks such as infection at the site of blood draw which are extremely rare, or discomfort at the injection site.
